We are looking to appoint a highly motivated manager who can lead on key research management initiatives across a clinical research network.

The CLRN Lead Research Management & Governance Manager is a senior role within the CLRN core team. As post holder you will lead on CLRN RM&G issues and will manage the continuing development and implementation of appropriate systems to support a high quality, facilitative RM&G service across the network which will meet national standards. These systems include management of the Co-ordinated Systems for Gaining NHS Permissions (CSP) and facilitating the Research Passport Scheme.

The Comprehensive Clinical Research Network is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network. NIHR CRN was established by the Department of Health to improve the speed, quality and integration of clinical research, resulting in improved patient care. The NIHR CCRN comprises 25 local research networks (CLRNs) in England, each including primary care, secondary care, tertiary care and mental health NHS service providers.

Requirements:

As post holder you will be educated to postgraduate level (or equivalent) with project management experience. Knowledge of governance frameworks and national systems for conducting clinical research is desirable.

The post is available as a 12 month fixed term contract to supply cover for the post holder who is on secondment. If you are currently employed by the NHS this post could be taken as a secondment opportunity.
